A website quote is easier to understand when you separate the initial build from the costs of keeping it running. The right question is not only “How much is the website?” Ask what you receive, what you will pay again, and who handles updates.
Start with the job your website needs to do
A local service business may need clear services, a service area, photos and an estimate form. A store needs product information, a checkout process and order handling. A coach may need discovery-call booking. List the essential customer actions before choosing a package.
For example, a lawn-care business asking for estimate requests does not automatically need online checkout, customer logins or a complex booking system. Scope the first version around the work you can manage today.
Understand the initial build
Your build quote should identify the page limit, images, content responsibilities, forms, connections, revision rounds and handoff. “Custom website” by itself does not describe a complete scope.
At Seasons, Essential starts at $400 for a website build with up to four core pages. The $444 option includes a standard domain if needed and first-year hosting; that bundle renews at $50 per year. Website-only customers arrange and pay for their domain and compatible hosting separately. These are Seasons rates, not universal market prices.
Separate setup from subscriptions
A setup fee covers agreed work to connect and test a tool. The software provider may charge separately for its account, advanced features or usage. A payment connection can also involve transaction fees. Ask for those costs in writing before committing.
Our Growth starting package includes Google measurement, one newsletter signup connection and one appointment calendar connection within the agreed limits. If you need only one of those features, a smaller package plus an add-on may fit better. Your project questionnaire helps compare suitable options.
Decide who makes updates
You can maintain the site yourself after training or arrange ongoing help. Hosting and maintenance are different services. Confirm whether updates, backups, content edits and support are included, and how much work the monthly plan covers.
Five questions to ask before paying
- What pages and features are included?
- Who supplies text, photos and product information?
- What renews, when, and at what stated price?
- How many revision rounds do I receive?
- What access and training will I receive at handoff?
Request a quote that answers these questions in plain language. A smaller, clearly scoped site can be a useful starting point. You can add features when the business has a reason to use them.
Compare Seasons packages and add-ons, or tell us what you need. Rates and inclusions are subject to the written scope agreed for your project.
